Absolute Flash #20

In the medical bay of his ship, The Atom, Ray Palmer explains his backstory to Wally and his friends. He tells them that when he was working at Starlabs, he developed a new form of microscope with Sam Scudder that allowed him look beyond even the subatomic level and saw another form of particle, dark and impenetrable and seemingly alive. The machine exploded shortly after he glimpsed the dark particle, but he was determined to learn more. After several years of work and faking his death, he was able to develop the technology to shrink down to a nearly infinitely small scale and used it to explore the subatomic world. He found one of the Omega Particles but was unable to shrink down to enter it or even touch it. Palmer tells Wally that he believes they are looking for the same thing and can help each other. Wally asks if he means Still Point and Ray replies that he believes what Barry Allen called Still Point is the gateway into the Primordial Universe. Wally says that he doesn't care about that and just wants to get his father out of Still Point. Palmer says that either way they both want to get there and need to work together.
